Ömer Fatih Keha: "We take care to lead our industry in sustainability"
Stating that as a participant of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and a signatory of the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi), Our General Manager Ömer Fatih Keha said, "While increasing our efforts to turn Turkey's energy map green with our renewable energy investments, we see sustainability as an indispensable part of our corporate culture. In addition to reducing the direct and indirect impacts of our operations on the environment, we work diligently to improve our own environmental performance. We take care to lead our industry in sustainability with our scientific path and innovative strategies to reduce the risks related to climate change and protect natural resources. At this point, we are among the world leaders in reporting with 'A- Leadership Level' in Climate Change and 'A Leadership Level', the highest score in Water Security by CDP, which is recognized as the world's most prestigious environmental initiative. We are proud to be the first and only company in the energy sector in Turkey to be included in the A List Report. I would like to thank all our employees who contributed to our achievement of this degree with their labor."
Keha: "We have achieved an important success"
Stating that the number of companies applying to CDP, which has the world's largest environmental database, is increasing every year, Ömer Fatih Keha said, "This year, more than 18,700 companies applied to CDP for the evaluation of their processes. As Aydem Renewables, thanks to our reporting, we received 'A Leadership Level' in the Water Security Program and 'A- Leadership Level' in the Climate Change Program. With our high score, we achieved a significant success by being among the few global companies included in the CDP A List. While A-rated companies are among the most transparent in terms of disclosure and performance on climate change, forests or water security, they are not at the end of their environmental journey. This is a journey and we will take care to take part in this journey and be a pioneer with our sustainability awareness."
What is CDP?
CDP works to change the way business operates to reduce the impacts of climate change and protect natural resources. CDP, an international non-profit organization based in London, helps publicly traded companies report to investors on how they use natural resources and natural capital, how their activities affect the reproduction of finite resources, and how they manage their risks in this area.
